Joe & Alyssa's love story

Do you remember the 21st night of September?

Joe and Alyssa both worked concession at a very young age and found out they were catty-corner neighbors. They eventually grew closer through mutual activities until they started dating in high school and the rest became history. On July 4, outside their newly purchased home, Joe got down on one knee and popped the question. Alyssa happily said YES and the couple are so excited to live out the rest of their love story as Mr. and Mrs. Jackson.

FAQs

The Wedding Website of Alyssa Banks and Joseph Jackson
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We do have a dress code! We kindly request our guests to dress in semi-formal attire. While we want you to feel comfortable, we ask that you refrain wearing white, ivory, champagne/gold, navy blue, and burgundy colors. Our lovely couple will be donning that color, and we want them to stand out on their big day.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

To ensure everyone has ample time to be seated and settled, we kindly suggest arriving by 5:30pm. The ceremony is set to begin at 6:00pm, and we want to make sure everyone is ready to share in the joyous moments as the doors will be closed at 6:00pm.

Question

Will the ceremony & reception be held outdoors or indoors?

Answer

While we're crossing our fingers for beautiful weather, we understand that the weather in Oklahoma can be unpredictable. In case Mother Nature has other plans, rest assured, we've got it covered! If the weather isn't ideal, we'll seamlessly transition to an indoor ceremony and reception to ensure the celebration continues in comfort and style. Our priority is to create a wonderful experience for everyone, rain or shine. We appreciate your flexibility and can't wait to celebrate with you, come what may!

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

While we adore your children, our families with infants and young toddlers will have reserved seating in the back rows in case you need a quick exit during the ceremony.

Question

Do we get a plus one?

Answer

In planning our wedding, we have made the decision to keep the guest list limited to those specifically named on the invitation or RSVP. While we would love to accommodate everyone's preferences, we hope you understand our desire to keep the celebration intimate and focused on our close friends and family. When you RSVP, your whole party will be listed.

Question

We are traveling! Where do we stay?

Answer

Luckily, we have a couple of hotels near our venue! Our first one we recommend is Comfort Inn & Suites Harrah which is located at 297 S Harrah Rd, Harrah, OK 73045. Our second hotel we recommend is Best Western Plus Choctaw Inn & Suites which is located at 2651 Market Blvd, Choctaw, OK 73020. If you want to party the whole weekend and not just Saturday, I would recommend Grand Casino Hotel & Resort which is located at 777 Grand Casino Blvd, Shawnee, OK 74804!

Question

Open bar?

Answer

The bride and groom will be having a dry wedding. Due to venue restrictions, alcohol is not permitted on the property. We ask our guests to please respect this rule. Please note that if a guest is found to violate the venue policies, they will unfortunately be responsible for any resulting fines or legal action. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Question

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from posting pictures of the bride and groom until we've had the chance to make our own posts. We want to savor and share these moments in our own way first. If you take your own personal photos with your party, please use our personal hashtag #AlyssasCupOfJoe so we can keep a collection of photos under that hashtag to look back on forever!

Question

Will there be an opportunity to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We're excited to have a professional photographer capture all the special moments during our ceremony. To ensure an intimate and distraction-free atmosphere, we kindly ask that you put away your phones and cameras during the ceremony. Your presence means the world to us, and we want everyone to fully enjoy and be present in the moment. Don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to capture memories during the reception! Feel free to snap away and share the joy with us.

Question

Where can I find a gift registry?

Answer

As we embark on this new chapter of our lives together, we've decided to prioritize experiences over material possessions. If you were considering a gift, your contribution to our honeymoon fund would mean the world to us. We've set up a cash fund to help make our dream honeymoon a reality. Your love and support are the greatest gifts we could ever ask for, and there is absolutely no obligation to give a gift. You can find the registry under the "Registry" tab. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

For those who choose to bring a gift, we'll have a designated placement for them at the venue. Feel free to bring your well wishes and gifts with you to the celebration. If you prefer to send a gift beforehand, you can use our Zola honeymoon fund on this website. Your presence is the greatest gift, and we're truly grateful to have you share in our special day

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed. As we prepare for the wedding, we kindly request that you let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend by using the RSVP section and responding that you cannot attend. We understand that unexpected events can happen, but by letting us know in advance, we can make necessary adjustments to our plans. On the other hand, if you are able to attend, please RSVP by 08/11/2024 so that we can provide our vendors with an accurate headcount.

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there is absolutely parking available at the venue!
