We will have heavy hors d'oeuvres from River City Wood Fire and refreshments crafted by Aces High Bar. There will be gluten-free, vegan options available. Please let us know if you have other dietary concerns.

Where do I park?
Answer
Virginia House is technically residential. There is no formal parking lot for the venue, but there is a lot of close, on-street parking! However, for your own ease, we strongly recommend carpooling with other guests if possible. Just be sure to avoid parking in front of someone's driveway. We are looking into renting a nearby parking lot depending on RSVP responses.

Where will the wedding and reception take place on the grounds?
Answer
The wedding will be hosted in a shady stretch, off to the side of one of the gardens. We will have fans but expect the heat. The reception will take place on the patio terrace, for the most part. Desserts and bar service may be indoors, depending on vendor setup space and comfort. We will have a tent (with fans) for dinner and seating at the reception.

What are the venue rules?
Answer
Virginia House is historic. It's owned and operated by the Virginia Historical Society. There are some rules, due to the age nature of the house. There is NO smoking in the home or on the grounds outside of designated areas in the gardens. Furniture and any objects in the house are not to be moved, but they can be used. We are going to keep the party on the terrace, in the gardens, and on the first floor of the house.

The short answer, NOT shorts and tee shirts, please! While it will be hot, please do not come with your knees out. We recommend linen and other light fabrics for shirts and pants.
