Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Guests will be dismissed for dinner in the order they RSVP. Let us know ASAP so you're not at the back of the buffet line!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we look forward to sharing this day with our most favorite people named on the invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to space limitations at the country club, children are welcome by invitation only. We are looking to pre-arrange a list of sitters for hire by families without other arrangements. Please check back later for more details.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be seated by 445p to allow the wedding party to assemble.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is ample parking on site, conveniently located in between the front lawn, where the wedding will be located and the reception in the grandview ballroom.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend ride sharing for those flying in for the festivities as well as those planning to enjoy espresso martinis! Both Uber and Lyft serve the Portland Metropolitan Area.

Question

Is the ceremony inside or outside? How about the reception?

Answer

The short ceremony will be located on the front lawn directly to your right as you enter the parking lot. If you're not a master of tiptoeing, stilettos are not recommended. The reception will be held inside the clubhouse where we have reserved the entire upstairs floor including the grandview ballroom. In the event we have inclement weather we will have the ceremony inside the clubhouse in the grand foyer area.

Wedding Party

Becky Jones-Will

Bridesmaid

My 1st friend and doppleganger. She taught me to love all sorts of things from softball, Linfield, & even Doug! When I mentioned I was worried that he needed to experience my schedule for all three sport seasons... she told me I was crazy & asked me if I thought he was going to turn into a werewolf come football season. I can't imagine this day without her & I really hope she doesn't pin my veil on with straight pins like we did with our Barbies.

Kristy Inman

Bridesmaid

My ride or die cousin, that I've always thought of as my sister. She's always been wise beyond her years and maybe that's why I took her to the Midway Tavern when she was 11! It was a desperate times, desperate measures, missing diamond earring situation. I couldn't have planned this wedding without her nor imagine my life without her by my side. There's nothing this girl can't handle... including designing invitations with a laser cut overlay! She is the strongest person I know mentally and physically. Which is probably why we thought we could move a 4 foot round boulder by ourselves... with our bare hands.

Tonya Wilson

Bridesmaid

If I could, Tonya is the family I'd pick for myself. Our parents grew up across the street from one another, so I've known her forever. I feel so lucky to have her close to me & I was even bunk mates with her 3 year old daughter, Amy after a crazy roommate situation. FYI: She is the handiest, most crafty person I know. She can rip out a kitchen, make a beef stroganoff, & help you paint a 6 foot tall nutcracker before dawn.

Jennifer Powell

Bridesmaid

After spending two long weeks at cheerleading daily doubles in a college dorm all by myself, Jenny was the 1st to move in. She continues to be the quintessential cool girl that puts up with the super excited, overly friendly Shelly! If we didn't move into the same double wide at Linfield, I also would not be the person I am today. I didn't even know athletic training was a thing before I met her. I'm lucky to have Jenny as one of my most fierce supporters. She is so much fun and I love being able to tell her daughters all about her college years before she met their Dad!

Kari Cunningham

Bridesmaid

Kari & I met in the athletic training education program at Linfield & have been close ever since. I've learned more from her in both sports medicine and life than anyone. I can't imagine practicing athletic training without her. I also wouldn't be getting married if I hadn't learned grace, compassion, patience & so many other things from Kari. She's the best running buddy and gives great moral support too. Especially, when you both have hickies on your foreheads from wearing headlamps training for a 10K during football season... and both work with high schoolers.

Mikaylee Dato

Groom's girl

Doug's oldest daughter, Mikaylee is the most highly skilled wedding individual I have ever seen. I'm not sure what I would be wearing down the aisle if she did not take charge of the dress appointment. Mikaylee's calm, no nonsense advice is something I will always treasure. Just like Vanilla Ice, "If there was a problem, Yo, she'll solve it."

Ashley Dato

Groom's girl

Doug's youngest daughter is one of our great joys in our life. She is the most kindhearted person that has a talent of making everyone feel included. Ashley brings the fun wherever we are. I secretly love when Doug misses her phone calls... because then she calls me! One New Year's Eve she made my year by saying, "I'm going to get my Dad to propose to you!" We are so thankful to have her by our side today & every day.

Ryan Dato

Groomsman

Who knew years after stabbing someone with a pitch fork they'd say yes to stand up for you?! Ryan was the 1st family member I met & I knew right then & there I'd hit the brother in law jackpot. Ryan welcomed me with open arms and then promptly chastized my cooking. "Are you cleaning?" "No, it's chicken!"

Casey Inman

Groomsman

I couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect person for my cousin to marry. When Casey joined our family, he not only just fit, he improved it. He's the chef to our holidays and smokes meat like a boss! He's fiercely protective of who he loves yet quite possibly the kindest gentle giant around. He's generous and the list of friends and family he helps is never ending. He's also super funny with junior high boy humor that requires us to question separating him from the groom at dinner parties.

Delaney Inman

Flower Girl

This sweet girl has a sense of humor that doesn't quit! No wonder she's the bride's favorite. This horse loving cowgirl has the best smiley greeting that makes you feel like a million bucks. Except when she calls Aunt Shelly and asks to talk to Uncle Doug.

Madalynne Jones

Flower Girl

The bride's grand niece has a sense of style and adventure to match. This Scheel's Ferris Wheel Riding, snowboarding bunny is non stop fun. We're counting down the days when she can come stay for shopping weekends with Aunt Shelly. No wonder she's her favorite!

Jack Dato

Ring Bearer

This handsome devil is groom's nephew. He is sweet and so much fun. He'll drive you around the lake on Uncle Doug's boat anytime. Be sure to ask to see his wrestling moves!

Bill Volk

Officiant

Coach Volk started as the bride's head football coach & then later became her athletic director. Shelly credits Bill with one of the many reasons she loves her job. Coach Volk is the most highly skilled leader and motivator around. He has such a gift with inspiring others. Bill is so hilarious and brightens everyone's day... while making you want to be a better person along the way. Spend a little time with him this evening & you'll definitely have a Bill-ion laughs.
