Corey messaged Jasmine online and asked if she'd be interested in connecting over the phone. Jasmine had seen him before and thought the he was handsome and therefore she obliged. Throughout their first month of building a friendship, they went on several picnics and spent everyday talking to one another. After a month, they decided to take it a step further and went on their first official date to the Cheesecake Factory and a movie to follow where they went to see Tyler Perry's Acrimony. From that day on, they grew to love one another

On Jasmine’s birthday, August 22, 2020, Corey took Jasmine to dinner at Trulucks in Dallas,TX to celebrate and after enjoying a delicious meal, the waiter brought out birthday dessert however, it stated the words “Congrats” instead of “Happy Birthday”. At that moment, she was confused at first but shortly thereafter, Corey took out the ring box and expressed his desire to spend to rest of his life with her and asked her to be his wife in the most intimate setting. SHE SAID YES! #JourneyToJohnson

Due to COVID restrictions and personal reasons, we made the decision to partake in an intimate ceremony on Friday, May 21, 2021 surrounded by immediate family and friends where the Justice of The Peace conducted the ceremony. We are excited to celebrate with everyone a year later as we say "I DO AGAIN" !
