Written from Leia’s point of view: We lived just a block away from each other with our dogs — Bean and Chewie. Complete strangers, no mutual friends. If it weren’t for our dogs, we probably would’ve never met. He claims to have noticed me in the neighborhood for a year and thought I was cute. BUT I’m going to take most of the credit here — I was the one who actually made the first move. I may or may not have slightly adjusted my walking route just to “randomly” run into John more often. I’d always ask how he was, how his day was… you know...keeping it casual. At one point, John brought me up to his sister and asked, “There’s this girl I've been running into quite a bit in my neighborhood… do you think she likes me?” And she responded, “Are you kidding me? Yes.” (Thanks Steph lol). Soon, our walks lined up — nights, then weekends — and it eventually became an everyday thing. Even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of ice cream, we’d always end up getting ice cream just to spend a little more time together. One night after walking the dogs, he nervously asked for my number. What began with our dogs, a few "random" encounters, and one conversation led us to where we are today.
