John and Angie were introduced to each other by a lady at John’s church, Bethlehem Lutheran in Aloha, Oregon. Angie was selling her house. Their first time meeting each other was a true blind date! John said he was smitten from the first time he saw Angie sitting on a bench in Lake Oswego. For their third date, John took Angie to Oktoberfest at Mt. Angel, and they had a ridiculously fun and memorable day together. Angie met John’s parents there and a couple of his siblings and that day, she began to fall in love with the funny and easy-going John. They began to see each other regularly and John met Angie’s family, and she met the rest of his family. Often their dates consisted of family gatherings, nieces’ and nephews’ games, watching Nebraska Cornhuskers play football (good thing Angie loves to wear red!), and walking through parks. John surprised Angie on Thanksgiving by arranging to have her look at rings and he proposed on Christmas so they could spend the day celebrating with both of their families. They are so grateful to God for bringing them together and are beyond excited to spend the rest of their lives by each other's side.
