Our love story started when we first met while working. Joel and I would chat here and there (with a little flirting). Eventually, we both stopped being shy and he asked me out. I said yes, and that’s when the first day of the rest of our lives started.

Everyone asked me if I knew I was getting engaged and I always replied with no because I didn’t. Joel has always been romantic with me therefore planning a really surreal picnic at the beach did not surprise me. But when he walked me around the picnic and I saw the words “Marry Me” and then I watch him as he is going down on one knee, I was in shock (in a good way). He gave me a speech and of course I said yes. I said yes to the man that has always been there for me. I said yes to the man I know will be the 99% when I am 1%. I said yes to the amazing future we are building.
