From Jody's POV: It was 2021, November and like most people in the 21st century, I met Todd... online! Bumble to be exact and there is a great story behind why I went online this one time, but let's keep to the important facts! SF was in post COVID chaos and I wasn't ready to go back after my June 2020 temporary departure to "the camper" so I decided to get a temporary apartment to be close to my handsome and amazing nephews in Louisville KY! For reasons we will share in later conversation and why I jumped on Bumble, I decided to see what the dating scene in Louisville had to offer and immediately connected with Todd. While we immediately connected online, I left the next day to Nashville to spend time with my bestie Ash, putting our 1st date on hold for a few weeks! December 8, 2021 - we had our first date at The Village Anchor (Sea Hag). Our first date and my first Hot Brown, it was perfect! He was handsome, thoughtful, and I knew he was my person... yes, I knew it then and was really hopeful he felt the same! Well... the date was perfect after frantically getting lost (I was living with my brother and SIL in the "country") and being extremely late, but again, small details! And Yay! He didn't wait long and asked me out again for a few days later, and then again a few days later... Wait, a guy that makes a plan and schedules dates and did I mention handsome and thoughtful?!?! My SIL, Katie (who again I was living with at the time), can attest, I was smitten! I moved out of Josh and Katie's basement on December 28th, 2021 to Norton Commons and ironically, I happened to move into the same apartment complex Todd was living in, he called it a pitching wedge away (you all know I have no idea what that means, other than, close). By June 2022, I knew I didn't want to leave and put my SF home up for rent and started transitioning my life permanently to Louisville Kentucky! I haven't looked back and am BEYOND excited to marry my best friend, the man of my dreams and my future husband! From Todd's POV: I saw this hot chick on Bumble, I swiped right and now we are getting married on September 27th.

This is one or our favorites! We love a staycation downtown and always make a stop at Old Forrester for Todd to get an Old Fashion and for those that aren't big bourbon fans to get my favorite, a Lion's Tail!
Churchill Downs will be night racing on Saturday night! https://www.churchilldowns.com/visit/september-meet/downs-after-dark/
If the weather is right, we love to walk over the river to Jeffersonville and hit Parlour Pizza and Union Restaurant & Gameyard!
Hard at work on these... Talk soon.
