We met in NYC in February 2023, bonding over our shared love of fine dining, art, and nature. From devouring omakase dinners to wandering through museums and getting lost on hiking trails (intentionally), we quickly realized we made a great team. We really knew it was something special when we spent New Year's together in a modern Catskills cabin - with Jing’s cat, Coco. Max was mildly terrified that Coco would damage the Airbnb. Instead, Coco behaved like a posh little prince. Crisis averted. We tested our compatibility the way all great couples do: by taking a three-week trip to China. In December 2024, we climbed sacred Meili Snow Mountain peaks in Yunnan, explored Beijing’s cultural gems, and Max passed the ultimate test - meeting Jing’s parents in Jinan (with extra points for mastering dumpling making under pressure). Exactly two years after our first date, Max proposed to Jing at the spot where it all began. She said yes! We’ve shared food, flights, and feline drama - and we’re so excited to keep adventuring through life together. Let’s be real: Coco probably saw this coming first.
