Frequently Asked Questions

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We kindly request no children under the age of 21 be present at either the ceremony or reception.

Question

when should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Saturday, April 12th using the 'RSVP' tab in the menu above. If you do not RSVP by the given date, we will assume that you are unable to attend. Events will have personalized seating arrangements and will include RSVP'd guests only.

Question

Can I bring a guest or date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding. Please reach out to us with any questions!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see you all dressed up for the big day! We ask that you aim for cocktail attire. Mid to floor-length dresses are appropriate. Please avoid jeans or denim and shades of white or cream. When thinking about footwear, remember that many events will occur on grass or uneven pavement.

Question

what time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow enough time to park and find your seat. The ceremony will take place on the back lawn of the manor grounds, which takes a few minutes to walk to. Guests who arrive later than 4:00 PM will be asked to wait by the reception area until the ceremony has concluded.

Question

where do I park?

Answer

Free parking is available across the street from Ewing Manor at St. John's Luthern Church on Emerson Street. If you do not feel well enough to drive home at the end of the night, you can leave your vehicle overnight to pick up the next morning.

Question

can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony! Once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be silenced and put away. We want everyone to be present in the moment and allow our wonderful photographer be able to capture the best moments, which will be shared with you at a later time.

Question

what happens if I can't make it?

Answer

While you will be dearly missed, we completely understand! If you are not able to attend, please indicate such using the 'RSVP' tab. If you cannot make it after you have RSVP'd, please let us know as soon as possible so we may plan accordingly.
