While there is valet available at the venue ($21 per car), we highly encourage utilizing Uber or Lyft. From the Virgin Hotel, it is less than a 20 minute walk along the river.
Nope -- parents' weekend off!
Flight
We recommend traveling into MDW as it is closer to downtown and to all accommodations for the weekend. Uber is very easily accessible from baggage claim if you chose to forgo taking the "L" into the city. Strongly encourage not renting a rental car for the weekend. Parking in the city is challenging to find and expensive. To browse more affordable overnight parking options, we recommend utilizing the SpotHero App to reserve safe parking. Uber/cabs are easy and affordable, and the city is very walkable! Download the Lyft and Uber app to compare rates when booking a ride. One is usually less expensive than the other, but never predictable which one.
Hotel
While there are plenty of hotel options around, we have reserved a discounted block of rooms at The Virgin Hotel for Friday 11/7- Sunday 11/9, which will be honored through the link below. The hotel is less than a 20 min walk to our venue and located in the heart of the city. If the block is full, please reach out to Jillian as she can add additional rooms. **To receive the discounted rate, rooms must be booked by 10/8/25** Overnight parking at the hotel is $79, per vehicle, per night; this includes in-and-out privileges. We recommend utilizing the SpotHero app for more affordable overnight parking options.

Enjoy the view of Millenium Park and Chicago's "Bean" from this beautiful rooftop. Highly recommend for a cocktail or for brunch (reservations recommended). Located in the Chicago Athletic Association Building and near the Virgin Hotel.
Great Happy Hour Monday-Saturday from 4pm-7pm. Also a great spot for a coffee in the morning at their cafe.
Iconic banana pudding for the dessert enthusiast.
Our favorite Chicago Tavern Style pizza if you need a delivery recommendation. Fun fact, we devoured this on our "official" wedding night. Seek deep dish elsewhere, like Lou Malnatis or Gino's East.
Think Mediterranean, with a pretty view and yummy food.
10/10 best way to see the city! Highly recommend if the weather is nice. 90 minute boat tour with bar on board. Tickets available through Shoreline or Wendella, on the Riverwalk.
Our favorite local dive for Italian beef (pro tip: + hot peppers!) and Chicago dogs. Cash only! Weird hours and closed on Sundays; check hours online! Fun fact, it was here they filmed the Hulu show, The Bear.
One of Jillian's favorite local, small businesses! A cute, one stop shop for all things ~Chicago~.
THE best burger (add bacon...just trust us)! Small, cozy spot that doesn't take reservations. It's worth going at an off hour for an early dinner or late lunch. Many nearby bars to kill time if you have to put your name on the wait list.
One of our favorite spots for a nice dinner. Owned by Chicago native and Top Chef winner, Joe Flamm. Recommend a reservation!
Whether you're ordering CBA on UberEats or you decide to stop for lunch while visiting the cute shops on Armitage Street in Lincoln Park, you cannot go wrong with CBA. The "Crunch Munch" is Jillian's go-to and Daniel's is the "Sausage Fest" or "The Dude."
Without a doubt, the best ramen in the city. A speakeasy vibe with only 13 chairs. Get there right when they open at 4 to avoid a several hour wait. We love to get the Signature Ramen with 1/2 spice (if you can handle heat) and marinated mushrooms.
Our favorite neighborhood dive bar to grab a Blue Moon.
Must have a reservation! An intimate, cozy atmosphere with very limited seating. Our favorite spot for a nice Italian dinner. It's worth setting your alarm at 9am 21 days prior when reservations are released on the Resy app. Their sister restaurant, Gilt Bar, located next door is also great (easier to get into as an alternative).
Located right by Northwestern, Gotham has the best bagels for a weekend treat or hangover cure. Jillian's order: asiago bagel with scallion cream cheese.
