Things To Do

Looking forward to having you in Austin where the food and fun never ends! Here are a few local favorites that you should try.

Amy's Ice Creams

3500 Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX 78705

The best ice cream in Austin! Founded by a UT Austin graduate, Amy's is an Austin classic that is perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day. Recommend trying the Mexican Vanilla with strawberries mashed in. There is also another Amy's close by on 6th Street.

Cabo Bob's Burritos

2828 Rio Grande Street, Austin, TX 78705

Jeune's favorite tacos and burritos place on campus - she thinks it's better than Torchy's, but test for yourself!

CoCo's Cafe

1910 Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX 78705

Jeune's favorite place to get boba on campus! Jeune's go-to order for a study session is original boba milk tea (taro once in a while) with noodles.

Joann's Fine Foods

1224 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704

If you're looking for Tex-Mex - when Per's family came to visit Austin, they found Joann's Fine Foods. It was so fine they went back twice in one week!!

Kerbey Lane Cafe - University

2606 Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX 78705

A classic Austin brunch spot with unlimited coffee!

Madam Mam's Thai Cuisine, UT West Campus at 26th ST

510 West 26th Street, Austin, TX 78705

Another Jeune favorite on campus - the pad thai is amazing!

Medici Roasting

2222 Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX 78705

Formerly called Cafe Medici, highly recommended campus coffee shop

Round Rock Donuts

106 West Liberty Avenue, Round Rock, TX 78664

The best donuts in the world, seriously. Try the original, the chocolate iced, large jalapeno and cheese kolache, and the Texas-sized Donut!

Blanton Museum of Art

200 East Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Austin, TX 78712

An art museum right across from the hotel if you're looking for things to do in Austin but don't want to be outside in the July heat.

Harry Ransom Center

300 West 21st Street, Austin, TX 78712

Beautiful library and museum on campus - go see art from Ancient Egypt and one of the last surviving Gutenberg Bibles!
