How We Met
We met *officially* on May 30, 2022, at a gathering with mutual friends before a concert. We then crossed paths again a few weeks later in June, but it wasn’t until an unseasonably warm Saturday, on October 1, 2022 that we actually *saw* each other. Someone out there has said that God will bring you your person when you’re least looking for them, and neither of us imagined that we’d meet the person we’d want to spend the rest of our lives with on that bright Saturday afternoon. But, thanks to erstwhile couple Matt Buckle and Chrystal Thomas, both mutual friends, we did. By the end of the week, and maybe the end of the day, we both knew. Later that night, even, someone asked us how long we’d been together. We both looked at each other and laughed. “Together? We just met this afternoon.” So, here we are. And here you all are. If you’re reading this, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to care about us, to want to know our story, to join with us in celebrating this blessing. We can’t wait to see you.

We highly recommend that all out of town guests stay at The Hoxton Hotel. Breakfast will be available to all wedding guests staying at the hotel on Friday and Saturday morning at "The Apartment" which will also be open to our wedding guests ONLY on Fri & Satuday from 8am-11:30pm. Free tea, coffee, water, snacks, etc will also be available throughout the day. This will serve as a central location across the weekend for our guest to hang out, mingle and get to know one another.

Yes. Children are welcome during the ceremony and dinner. We request that children be dropped off at the kids room down the hall NO LATER than 10pm. Childcare services will be provided onsite by NW Nannies (https://nwnannies.net/) from 8pm to 12am. Please pick up your child by 12am from the Kids Room.

Yes, we’d love to have you and can recommend some places to check out in the (likely) chance that we’ll need to rest in the days after the celebration. Will there be transportation services to and from The Hoxton Hotel & Wedding Venue (The Loft at 8th Avenue)?
Answer
Yes. There will be one COMPLIMENTARY 12 passenger sprinter van making trips back and forth from The Hoxton to the Venue beginning around 4pm to 12am on Saturday, August 10th. Guests can catch a ride on sprinter or Lyft/Uber to and from the venue beginning at approx 4:05pm. The shuttle will be making trips until 12am to and from the venue (The Loft at 8th Avenue) to The Hoxton PDX. Unfortunately, there is no set pick up/drop off schedule. There is free street parking at the venue.

Friday is the rehearsal dinner and Ghanaian celebration. The dinner portion from 7pm-9pm is for family and bridal party and their families only. All other wedding guests are invited and ENCOURAGED to join us at 9pm in The Lovely Rita @ The Hoxton PDX for drinks and dancing with DJ Solo until 11:30pm. Please come dressed to impress.
