Everyone here likely knows the boys love a good margarita and dinner at a Mexican restaurant! (You probably all do as well if you're attending this wedding, ha!) Check out Tito's located conveniently in Barry Farms near our hotel blocks for dinner upon arrival or lunch before you head out of town.
Take a stroll down historic Main Street in Jesse's hometown of Franklin, Tennessee. Downtown Franklin will forever be a special place in our hearts. We're sure after just an hour or two of strolling the three (!) city blocks, browsing unique gifts and goodies in the many boutiques, and a glass of wine at JJ's Wine Bar (Jesse and Jackson had the official "we're moving to New York" conversation here on a hot summer day!) that you will fall in love with its charm as well. Our highlights: fish & chips and a cold beer at McReary's Irish pub to fuel up, antique and estate jewelry next door at Walton's, rare prints at... Rare Prints Gallery (you've seen a few in Jesse and Jackson's collection), the excellent collection of dinnerware and home goods at The Registry, assorted candles and goodies at Hester & Cook, and a stroll through the shops at The Franklin Factory nearby. Pro tip: Street parking is limited, carpool if possible! There is a parking garage located at 115 4th Ave.
East Nashville is our favorite option if you'd like to branch out off the beaten path from Broadway and Downtown Nashville. With tons of bars, restaurants, and shopping you could spend an entire afternoon into the evening here. Our highlights: Wine and dine at Bad Idea (it's a good idea), Vintage tees at Black Shag Vintage, (the best) burger and fries at Dino's dive bar, cocktails and charcuterie at The Fox Bar (also love throwing darts and shooting pool upstairs at Mickey's), and all the records at Grimey's. Gents - should you need to get a fresh fade... book a cleanup at Black Heart Barber Company (ask for Hunter P. and tell them Jesse sent you!).
12 South is another awesome strip of boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants that we love to visit when in Nashville. Our highlights include: Nashville core hats/tees/and jeans at Imogen + Willie, denim and excellent interior design at Buck Mason, Oysters, etc at Urban Grub, vintage and oddities at Savant, coffee at Frothy Monkey, and assorted goodies at White's Mercantile.
Pretty self-explanatory on this one. When in Music City (especially if it's your first time!) you must take a stroll down Broadway and pop into a couple of classic honky tonks (see also: mega, multi-level themed bars by every top modern country artist and Justin Timberlake). Admittedly, much has changed in Downtown Nashville since we lived nearby, but we do have a few recommendations should you decide to brave Broadway. Our highlights: 5th & Broadway is a newer development with shopping and dining downtown (Sixty Vines has a great wine list and outdoor patio with views of The Ryman - perfect for a Nashville pic), The Twelve Thirty Club - JT's chic restaurant and bar, a classic Nashville staple honky tonk - Tootsie's, and Acme Feed & Seed - great band and views - also Dolly Parton mural. There is an endless array of options downtown. Eating, drinking, and live music. Nashville baby! Special shoutout to 5th & Taylor in nearby Germantown for dinner and cocktails.
