A Baltimore institution, recently renovated. Market Bakery will be your best bet for donuts in the vicinity, and Faidley's for crab cakes, eaten standing.
Good for a stroll or just sitting if the weather's nice
Baltimore's largest farmer's market, located under the Jones Falls Expressway and open 7AM to noon.
Italian deli with subs, baked goods
"The coolest bar. But it used to be even better." John Waters
A short drive north of our venue, but happening the same weekend!
It's totally free!
Small cocktail bar with indoor and outdoor seating--and where we happened to have our first date!
Wear whatever you want! Fancy or casual attire, whatever makes you comfortable.
In addition to street parking on Howard Street and West Franklin Street, PMS parking has a pay lot at 201 W. Franklin just east of the courtyard rear entrance for Current Space. ***Please note that online payment is required in advance on parkwhiz.com (t.ly/jvD7G) and towing is strictly enforced!*** There is also a Baltimore City Garage at 15 West Franklin Street, about a 5-minute walk from Current Space.
No, we didn't reserve a block of rooms anywhere, but each of the four hotels we listed above is well-regarded and within a few blocks (a short walk or drive) of Current Space.
Current Space (https://www.currentspace.com/) is an artist-run, member-supported gallery and studio with an outdoor covered performance space and bar in the heart of Baltimore.
We're going to have meat, poultry, and vegetarian dishes from a Greek restaurant, Estiatorio Plaka (https://www.estiatorioplaka.com/). We'll have beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages on hand.
