Never have I had the types of laughs, memories, and triumphs, than I have with Mohadeseh. Having a good friend and sister teaches you about caring, forgiveness, love, and mercy. To say Mohadeseh is a corner stone of my life, is minimizing the true impact she has had on my growth. In middle school, we would off-road with Liz's and Mila's Barbie jeeps, i find it funny that we went from that to off-roading in real jeeps. No matter the amount of stories we can tell together, it is pretty plain and simple that as challenging as life can be, we laugh through it all and keep our faith strong. I learned the most about myself as an adult during the 2020 pandemic. Online bible studies helped me understand what I was reading and how it related to myself. I will always remember the day when I met Sierra, we were sitting outside in the most beautiful green grass near a wonderful mountain side. The way that sun shined through the trees on her represented the light she has in her heart. Talking with her about my birthday events with her brother, her response to us serving food to homeless teenagers was: "You're Not talking about my brother, how did you get him to do THAT?" This is when I knew we could have a relationship. Throughout my entire time knowing Sierra, she has always shown interest in getting to know me. I know that at times I can be overwhelming with information, but her ability to active listen and give a thoughtful and meaningful response is amazing. To say I was an easy child, pre-teen, teenager, and adult, is a lie. When I think about you and you're parenting style, I think of our times watching world war 1 and 2 on history channel in the living room. I waited patiently for the remote to watch Lizzie McGuire marathon on Disney Channel. I was good at history because of those. I look back at the life my Dad gave me, and I am grateful. I knew the realities of this world existed, but never experiencing them was the blessing that my Father gave me. Our life was healthy and stable because you chose to go out in it and serve underserved communities. Without you, I would have never grown up completely because I needed that push to hold myself accountable for my actions. You never tried to control my life, you gave me the freedom to make my own choices which sometimes were for the bad and for the good. You shared memories with us that truly mattered, the lessons in life that are not talked about but, experienced. Words can't do justice just how amazing of a person and mother she truly is. A woman with a heart of pure gold, she has always been the most loving, caring, and supportive person in my life and I can't think of a single time growing up where that ever changed. Being an aunt was an exciting feeling for me, it was an even better feeling to know that Zariya would have a best friend too. Although you two drove us crazy as toddlers to now. Can we bring our kids to the wedding?
Answer
Great question! We politely request that arrangements be made for children to be left/watched at home (with a few special exceptions). As much as we love our kids, this event does have an open bar and our intention is for everyone to be able to freely celebrate with us that night!
Question
Can we take our own pictures/videos of the ceremony/reception dinner?
Answer
Thank you for asking! While we do appreciate the thought, we have hired a professional wedding photographer to capture all of the special moments that evening, and want to preserve them candidly as best as we can. So please, just be present and enjoy an amazing night together with us. We got it covered on the photos, don’t you worry ;)
Question
Will there be a cash or an open bar at this wedding?
Answer
We are treating all of our guests this evening to an open bar (woo!) Tips will be still greatly appreciated, however, for all of the skills and hard work the bartender (who we personally selected) will undoubtedly be bringing to the table that night
Question
Where will everyone be staying after the wedding?
Answer
We will have a wedding block reserved at the Delta Hotel near by for anyone who does not want to drive home after the wedding (there will be an open bar after all) But feel free to explore all of the other options in the area! Vehicles will be safe to leave in the venue parking lot over night if you need to uber to your destination and back the next morning.
