Dancing Through Detours
Jensen and I have a story that feels like it was meant to be, even if life threw a few detours our way. We first met as kids at a small school in the Valley, but then Jensen switched schools, and we lost touch. Years later, we bumped into each other again at a mutual friendâs party and exchanged numbers. Honestly, neither of us was exactly readyâJensen was deep in a rebellious phase, and I wasnât exactly innocent either. Before long, he ghosted me (which, looking back, makes us laugh now). But life has this funny way of bringing people back when theyâre meant to be. Years later, when I was recovering from cancer and Jensen was learning to live with the loss of his mom to the same illness, we reconnected. It was like no time had passedâwe were still the same goofy, wild kids, except now our bond ran much deeper. Jensen never lost his legendary dance moves or his quick sense of humor, and I found in him someone who truly understands the hard parts of life. Since then, weâve been inseparableâgrowing wildly close despite long-distance during his six months of Air Force training and the challenges that come with growing up fast. Doing life together has been the most unexpected, beautiful, and sometimes crazy adventure, and I wouldnât trade it for anything.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM. We recommend arriving by 2:40 PM to allow time for parking, finding your seat, and soaking in the good vibes before we get started!

Answer
Thereâs plenty of street parking around our house! Weâll have signs and maybe a helper or two to direct you when you arrive. Donât worryâthereâs no need to stress about parking.

Our vibe is farm-to-table meets backyard chic! Think relaxed but stylishâdresses, dressy jumpsuits, slacks, button-downsâwhatever makes you feel your best. Early October in Colorado can surprise us with warm sunshine or a cool breeze, so layers are a good idea. Bring a light jacket or wrap for the evening, just in case it cools down.

Early October in Colorado is a bit of a wild cardâit can be sunny and warm, or it might cool off quickly in the evening. Expect highs in the 60s or low 70s during the day and lows in the 40s at night. Weâll have a cozy setup with blankets and heaters if it gets chilly, but definitely plan for layers, especially for later in the evening.

Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors in our backyard, surrounded by nature, twinkly lights, and intimate atmosphere. Fingers crossed for sunshine!

Yes! We love your little ones and want them to be part of the celebration. The space is casual and family-friendly, with plenty of room to run and playâjust keep an eye on the weather and bring a sweater for them too.
