Jenny: We are actually childhood friends! We went to the same church together. At 14, I knew one day I would marry Elias, but the Lord had different plans. Love is patient right?! I moved away for college, to pursue my nursing degree. During this time the Lord really worked on who I am in Him. Elias would occasionally reach out, just to check up on me. After college, I took a year off, and then found myself working in Corpus Christi. I'll spare some details on the in between, but I would find myself in Dallas often to see my family. On one trip Elias and I met up for dinner and caught up. A year after that he joined me to celebrate my mom's birthday, he mustard up the courage to give me a kiss at my cousin's quince and I guess we weren't friends after that haha. The rest is "history". He got down on one knee on 01/04/2025 at Mandalay Canal and through my sobbing and snot I said YES! We never know what the Lord has in store for us. To be honest 14 year old Jenny had given up after so many years, thank the Lord, Love is patient. Elias: We met through our parents! Ever since meeting and talking to Jenny I felt a very natural connection towards Jenny. As if instantly I could talk about anything and everything with utter confidence. Yup. The Lord really works in mysterious ways and has a sense of humor. I never thought that I would end up choosing Jenny as the person that I would spend the rest of my life with. I did always know, I wanted to always be a part of her life. Growing up I just saw her as a good friend, which is a solid foundation to our relationship. After years of growth and the pain of losing my dad, my perspective matured on what truly matters. Being with Jenny, was a clear decision, she has always been there for me. I am looking forward to doing life with her.
