We met at a bar downtown Fort Wayne, called The Deck, and from there it was pretty much history. I caught him starting at me even though to this day he still denys it. We talked for hours that night and it was like we had known each other forever. From there we went on our first date and spent every moment we possibly could together. It was like we had lived the same lives in different bodies, and even though our experiences differed greatly in some ways, it was those same differences that prepared us for the life we both want to live with each other. Dont get me wrong, the journey together has not been the easiest, smoothest, or the happiest. From emotional baggage and trauma, to the past bleeding into our future, our lives have been no fairytale. But at the end of it all, he is still my happily ever after.
