The most affordable of our three picks and our favorite. We're staying there. The oldest hotel on the cove, it has been rebuilt as it was reimagined-contributing to local culture, Hollywood, and even The War. It has a charm that celebrates its rich history and has 24 hour room service, rare amongst alternatives and is perhaps the only way to get an 11pm meal in the neighborhood. It boasts a swanky restaurant and bar that serves all meals - coverage that is also a rarity in the area. 5-10 minute walk to venue. La Valencia Hotel

A luxurious icon, this is the pick for prime amenities. Marilyn Monroe frequented the hotel. Expect commensurate service and cost. Less flexible food schedule than the Grand Colonial, but more options to choose from during business hours. Three to five minute walk to the venue.

La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites

The wedding will be held on the rooftop of this hotel. The roof and the hotel are related but distinct, you won't have access to the roof outside the wedding. Staying here is the quiet option with a strong California modern vibe. Do stay if being a stone's throw from the wild life vista is more important than being near the "village" (a beachy, condensed downtown-like area.) Do not stay here for the pool or the food - no restaurant, just a coffee shop. However, it does have great adjacent food scene for sit down dining. We have a code CELEBRATE to save on room rates.
