Maid of Honor
Sam - my best friend of 25 years! We met at Marshall Fields working the candy counter during the chaos that was the holiday season and stayed a year or two after. I hope to never see a Frango again. Life sure has had its ups and downs over the last two plus decades. You were kind enough to join in on a Disney trip with me long ago and save it from being the worst trip ever - something I truly will be forever indebted to you for. Flash forward to our trip to Salem with the singing Uber driving (Uber...not OOOOOber). Always happy to join me on wandering through cemeteries with coffee in tow or be my sounding board. Sam, my fellow Gilmore Girls fan, empath at heart, and an old soul. You are the kindest and most giving person anyone will ever meet, even when keeping it real. I do not know what I would do with out you!! I am truly grateful to be able to call you my friend, even though you're really more of family member.
Best Man
Adam, I still remember the first day that I met you. We were both working though our apprenticeship and you left a wheel loose on the first car you touched. I remember thinking "man, he won't even last a month". Little did I know I'd be working with you for over 20 years; right up until you moved on to a way better opportunity. Working on my Monte, Friday nights at the drag strip, endless hours of smash brothers, getting our names paged followed by the dreaded "135!!!". While our early 20s were filled with fun (less Bob), as we got older we graduated to kid's birthday parties, me being a godfather to your daughter, and being there for each other during good, and bad, times. It was an easy choice to pick you for my best man.
Bridesmaid
Jess - One of the few people shorter than I am :) We met through Dan, but you're my friend now... though Miller still fixes your car ;) Cat mama, nurse, and my sushi lover partner in crime. Even though we are polar weather opposites (she thrives in summer, and I in winter) - I definitely appreciate the sunshine she brings with her. Always bringing a smile, even when life tosses her curveballs - she is proof that amazing things do indeed come in small packages.
Groomsman
Tim, of the whole bridal party, I have the most unique relationship with you. You are my brother. You are the only one of the guys that I don't really have a before time with. You've always been a part of my life, and I yours. I'm so proud of everything you've done, and the obstacles you've overcome. I'll always be here to help you achieve your dreams. The thing I am most proud of though, is that you are my brother.
Bridesman
Oh Nick... What can I say? You are the sunshine to my clouds - bringing laughter and joy wherever you go. I am fortunate to have met you through Miller, and witness all of the parties, shenanigans, witch burnings, costumes and Cards Against Humanity write ins: pocket queso...Willy Wokna (no, not a typo)...King of Dairy Queen.... the list goes on and on. Never forget the Shedd... Two finger touch! They say every friend circle has a person that is the glue... and that my friend is you! Your laugh and zest for life is contagious in the best way! You are a beautiful soul and I am a better human for knowing you.
Groomsman
To those that know me well, you know that cars are a big part of my life. It should come as no surprise that some of the closest friends are car enthusiasts too. I met Shannon in my early 20's cruising Hwy 100 and street races. Although my life doesn't revolve around cars as much these days, Shannon, you have always remained a close friend that I could call at anytime if I needed anything. Jenn and I always look forward to our double dates, or couples nights with you and Katie. Oh, I promise no more light up things in crappy weather for date suggestions.
Bridesmaid
Wendy - Mama to Jaxon, wife to John, daughter to Pops, doggo lover, semi-professional "MyChart" decipherer, sparkle addict and fondue friend! We met at a gym, found the same people irritating (shocking, I know!), bonded, and have been friends since! Always there for my unhinged comments helping me keep some shred of sanity. Bringing the real to those real talk moments makes me just adore her! She is smart, sarcastic, and a complete delight -- even when she's late, she is a total gem ;)
Groomsman
Of the bridal party I've known you the least amount of time; which is funny because you feel like a childhood friend at times. Maybe it's because you unapologetically bring out the inner kid in me (or nerd as Jenn would say). I miss having you as my boss at my part time gig, but am glad you got out of it. Just wish it had been something closer, but I also know you if you wouldn't have moved, you wouldn't have met Sam and you guys are an amazing couple and great friends. P.S. TODD IS THE BEST DOG!!!!!!! (from Jenn because Dan is too chicken to admit it) :) P.P.S. For those that don't know Todd... Todd is the dog on the left in Lucas's profile picture.
Hands down my favorite place in the city to eat. Get the biscuits, extra compote. Also try the fried green tomatoes - you won't regret it!
Diners Drive Ins and Dives worthy Mexican Restaurant near the hotel. Pro Tip: Eat in the bar area, not dining room.
Excellent place for Brunch!
Because animals are awesome. 'Nuff said.
Due to the venue size, this is an 18+ event; please enjoy an adults only evening with us. If you are unable to attend because you cannot bring your kiddo(s) we will miss you, but 100% understand. You'll only be able to RSVP for the people on your invite.
Anodyne is unique venue that is open to the public before hand, so the amazing Anodyne staff will be working hard setting up for our wedding from 3PM - 4:45PM. Doors will open to our guests at 5PM (but not before). Ceremony begins at 5:15PM If you cannot help but be early feel free to stop by the Iron Horse to say hi before the wedding, or to have a drink at the bar :) It is about a block away from the venue.
Yes - parking will be available in the school lot across from Anodyne (don't worry - there will be signs!!). The venue contracts with the school for its use. If you're staying at the Iron Horse - it is about a block away.
Our dinner is a bit unique - stations vs plated/buffet. Let the Zilli's staff know your restrictions and they will help you customize your selections accordingly.
