Jenna and Xander met on August 1, 2024 at a book study. Well, Xander wasn’t there for the book study. He stopped in to say goodbye to his nephews, Richy and Declan. In fact, he had no idea there was a book study going on. Much to his surprise when he opened the door, he was met with the eyes of 6 women, including Jenna’s. He said his hellos, then made a quick beeline upstairs to his nephews. After the book study concluded, Xander, noticing Richy made a mess, rounded the corner into the kitchen to grab a towel. Jenna, putting dishes away, found this as her opportunity to corner him. “Oh hi Xander!” Xander was taken aback. A woman! Talking to him! The next 5 minutes Xander and Jenna exchanged small talk about where they lived (North Dakota, Wisconsin) and what they did for work (flipping homes, photography) Jenna noticed his sparkling blue eyes, his genuine smile, and the way he nervously touched his elbow because a woman was talking to him. Xander didn’t notice much. He was too nervous. After Jenna and Xander parted ways, Jenna did a quick Facebook search and added him on FB. That’s all that Xander needed to start up a conversation; For the next month they texted each other constantly. On August 23rd, Xander drove the 8.5 hours to take Jenna out on their first date! They closed out the Chilis because the conversation kept flowing. From that point on Jenna and Xander’s relationship grew quickly as both visited each others families, watched Phillies baseball games together, and traveled frequently between North Dakota to Wisconsin. On December 17th, 2024 Xander drove the 8.5 hours to propose to Jenna in Wisconsin! She was so surprised! she thought she was showing up for a family photoshoot, and thought Xander was still in North Dakota. When Xander showed up instead of the “family” she was speechless. After a “yes of course I’ll marry you!”, they started wedding planning immediately. Xander and Jenna are so excited to celebrate with friends and family on June 28th, 2025
