Josh and Jen had heard of each other for years and would finally meet for the first time at their best friends, Zach and Natalie’s Engagement party. They had a short interaction, Jen naturally talking smack about a yard game and Josh making a joke about the gift he didn’t know he should bring. What caught Jen’s eye though, was the speech Josh gave for Zach that day…he was so confident, spoke so highly of his best friend and said the sweetest things about Natalie. Unbeknownst to Josh he had both his future wife and father in law crying (good tears) that day. Jen left early that night but received a text from Josh…they shared their first date a few days later at Lazy Dog! They hit it off instantly and shortly became each other’s favorite people. They spent a lot of time with one another right off the bat, going to pool night at the Elks, playing golf and sand volleyball, watching all the sporting events and attending the weddings of their family and friends!! Josh was so great about letting Jen bring her dog Moose to anything they planned. We think he was a little jealous of the companionship because three months in, Josh decided to add to their pack and adopt their miss Maggie Mae! Josh and Jen spent the first year traveling back and forth from each other’s houses and they soon decided to officially move in together! Jen sold her house and they moved into Josh’s house in Brighton! It was evident from the start that they couldn’t imagine their lives without one another and on February 24th, 2024 in Jen’s favorite place of Breckenridge, Co, Josh got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. He surprised her with her family (pups included) and the whole night was spent celebrating!
