Our proposal story began long before the actual moment. What I didn't know was that Eddy had been planning it for months. Little did I know, Eddy had an even bigger reason for being excited. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. As we made our way to the top and looked out over the breathtaking views of Dubai, I thought we were simply taking in another unforgettable moment together. Meanwhile, Eddy was carrying a secret and trying his best to hide just how nervous he was. When the moment finally arrived, he took my hand and began speaking. Through his nerves, he delivered the most beautiful and heartfelt speech. Every word came straight from his heart, reflecting on our journey together, the love we had built, and the future he hoped we would share. Then came another surprise. The ring he held wasn't simply chosen from a jewelry case. He had designed it himself, carefully combining details from all of the ring styles I had ever admired. He listened to every comment I had made and created a ring that was uniquely ours. Standing at the top of the world's tallest building, thousands of miles from home, surrounded by one of the most incredible views imaginable, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. Of course, I said yes. What made the moment so special wasn't the location, the height, or even the beautiful ring. It was knowing how much thought, effort, and love Eddy had poured into creating a memory we would cherish for the rest of our lives.
