Ceremony & Reception

4:30 pm - 10:30 pm

The Historic Post Office
132 E Queen St, Hampton, VA 23669

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

After Party

10:30 pm

The Landing at Hampton Marina, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
700 Settlers Landing Road, Hampton, VA 23669

CHANGE OF PLANS!!! The after party will now take place at the bar located within The Landing Hotel. They have graciously offered to stay open late for us. This will prevent guests from having to drive or order an uber. Plus, we found out there is a bull riding event in town that weekend and PBR will probably be packed! We've been to multiple weddings, and one thing has always remained the same...we've never been ready to stop the celebration at the end of the night. Therefore, after we leave the reception, we plan to continue the fun at The Landing Hotel Bar We'd love to have you join us!

FAQs

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

In order to confirm the final headcount with all of our vendors, we are asking that guests please RSVP by 01/01/2026.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

At this time, we are limiting children to the wedding party and immediate family. However, we do not want lack of childcare to be the reason you can't attend! Please reach out to the bride or groom directly if there is any conflict, and we will certainly make accommodations accordingly.

Question

Is there onsite parking?

Answer

There are a limited number of street parking spaces in front of our venue. Should you be staying at The Landing Hotel, there is a parking garage attached to the hotel and it is within walking distance of the venue. Should you not be staying at the hotel, there is another public parking lot (located on Eaton Street) within a block of the venue that you can park in, to include leaving your vehicles overnight if needed.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Guests should arrive anywhere between 4:00-4:20PM. Once the ceremony begins, the doors to the venue will be locked and late guests will not be allowed to enter until cocktail hour begins.

Question

What type of food and drinks will be provided?

Answer

Cocktail hour will begin around 5:00PM with a selection of hor'devoures set out for grazing. During cocktail hour; beer, wine, and predesigned cocktails will be available. Attendants will be walking around to serve those guests who want beer or wine. Guests who prefer cocktails will be served at the upstairs bar. As we move into dinner and the reception, the bar will transition downstairs. During the reception, should you prefer another cocktail not on the menu, the bartenders will be happy to make custom drink orders as long as they have the ingredients necessary. As always, tipping of the bar staff is appreciated!

Question

Is there nearby lodging?

Answer

Yes! The nearby Landing Hotel has kindly offered a nightly discount for any amount of nights between Friday-Monday to all guests using the below link: https://tinyurl.com/4rxcuwkp We recommend this hotel based on its' location, which is within walking distance of our venue, ensuring guests safety! Reservations using the discount code must be made my January 7th! For those interested, we plan to stay in the area through Monday and find somewhere to watch the Super Bowl with all those still in town to keep the celebration going! Other hotels in the area include Courtyard Hampton, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn Coliseum Central, Holiday Inn Express Hampton, Holiday Inn Newport News/Hampton, Hyatt Place Hampton Convention Center, Newport News Marriott at City Center, and SpringHill Suites by Marriott.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Because we have already lived together for a number of years now, we already have all the typical household neccessities a couple would traditionally ask for on their wedding registry. Therefore, in lieu of gifts, we are asking for donations to a honeymoon fund so that we may enjoy some quality time together to celebrate our marriage. There is a link to donate underneath the "Registry" tab of this website and there will be a card box at the wedding. Of course, gifts and donations are not required; as your presence on our big day is what is most important!

Question

Can you talk more about the dress code?

Answer

While we aren't looking to have a black tie event, we are asking all guests to leave their jeans and t-shirts at home and come dressed to impressed! Men, want to wear a full suit? Great! Otherwise, dress pants and a button up with tie are good too. Ladies can wear cocktail style or floor length dresses. If children are attending, we do ask that the dress nicely also (with a slightly laxed dress code for them - i.e. polos are okay for children vs. button ups). The bridal party will be wearing burgundy.

Question

Can we take our own pictures?

Answer

Yes! We certainly want you to document any pre-ceremony and post-ceremony events and will be creating a link for all pictures to be uploaded to. However, during the ceremony, we ask that all cameras (including cell phones) be put away in order to ensure that our photographers are able to capture the best moments without any obstacles in the way!
