Stefanie met Jeff in the most unlikely of circumstances—a Facebook post ministered to her! He was offering words of encouragement to an online group in navigating tumultuous life transitions, and his post caught her attention. Soon after that, the two of them began a conversation, starting with more of the same... encouragement. As their friendship grew, they learned much about each other, such as their very opinionated preferences of how to take coffee, but also more serious subjects, like their views of family, ministry, and spiritual matters. Out of this conversation grew a friendship. Out of this friendship grew a strong bond, as each of them looked to God to provide direction—both in the word He had previously given them about the attributes of their future spouses, as well as the leading of the Holy Spirit at the time of their speaking. Eventually, they met in person (a 1,200 mile trek), and later pursued a dating relationship, with a greater confidence that they were in the will of God. They not only fell in love, but they actively chose to love each other. After well over a year of praying, they saw God move over many obstacles so that they (finally) can be married! Now they look forward not only to what their marriage and family looks like, but what their ministry's impact will be on the Kingdom of God.
