It’s about time!
In May of 2013, Devon had been invited to two parties. She decided to stop by one before heading to the other. That’s where she met Jedidiah. Neither of them knew a lot of the people at the party, but they were excited to have made a friend. Devon didn’t make it to the second party, but instead stayed up most of the night talking with Jed. The next day they had their first date and went to see The Great Gatsby at the movies. After a few days together, they knew they had each met their person. A few years later, Jed proposed to Devon on the Bridge of Flowers in his hometown of Shelburne Falls. They chose to wait until August of 2020, but for obvious reasons their wedding was postponed. Instead of being mopey and sad, they started to look at houses. In October of 2020, they bought their first home. Now that the dust is settled, they are ready to start planning again and they can’t wait to finally have their special day with family and friends. Fun Fact: Jed and Devon are the same age for one week every year. They will be married during that week.

Welcome Party at the Bowling Alley

In lieu of a formal Rehearsal Dinner, the Bride and Groom-to-be will be bowling! Anyone is welcome to come, especially those that have traveled long distances. Shelburne Falls Bowling Alley is a local treasure that is located in Jed’s hometown. The historic candlepin bowling alley and bar is one of the couple’s favorite regular hangouts. Please RSVP so that the couple can order enough pizza! Wear anything that works with bowling shoes! If you plan to bowl, try and remember to bring socks, although they can be purchased at the shoe rental counter if you forget.

If you are planning to attend the Welcome Party or the Farewell Breakfast, we suggest hotels or AirBnBs that are close to 91, between Holyoke and Greenfield. The couple have not reserved any blocks of rooms just yet. If that changes, an update will be included on the website and with the invitation.

To avoid confusion, your RSVP cards will indicate how many places have been reserved. Children who are invited will be included in the invitation. Devon and Jed are lucky to have so many friends and family with children, but they will not be able to invite them all.

Your invitation will include an RSVP card. To avoid confusion, RSVP cards will tell you how any spots have been reserved for you. Due to the size of the guest list, some guests will not be receiving a plus one.

Please let Devon and Jed know of any food sensitivities if you are planning to attend. You may do so when you RSVP. The caterer has already warned them that certain ice cream toppings may have been processed in a facility that handles nuts.
