We both won homecoming prince and princess our first year of high school. I (Jazzy) went up to get my crown during the homecoming dance, but I didn’t get to meet whoever was crowned prince. That whole week, every crowned year had to practice during lunch for the homecoming football game. Every day, I showed up and had to practice alone. I figured I was gonna be crowned all by myself during the game. The homecoming game night comes and as I’m sitting on the float, Ely sits next to me. And the rest is history.
