From Janai’s POV: I was new to the area and had been busy learning about how the friends here in the PNW do things. My good friend Sarah invited me out to a dinner party one night to meet more young people around our age group and that night I met Nalu. We had a great conversation and exchanged social media information to keep in touch but that was the extent of our interaction for many years. We kept in touch and still remained good friends. It wasn’t until this year at a mutual friends wedding that we reconnected. He asked me to dance and he gave me his number. We went out and have been inseparable since. 🥰 From Nalu’s POV: We met at a cider brewery back in 2018 with a group of mutual friends. There we talked about where we came from, and have been having small conversations ever since here and there over the years. Sometimes online, sometimes in shared places with our friends. Some time has passed in between until we reconnected at a friend's wedding, where we went back to sharing conversations and even a dance. This is where our groom to be asked if she would take his number. And now, here we are! 😁
Bride
Fun loving and free spirited. Janai always marched zto her own beat. That beat lead her to the PNW where she was able to establish herself in the local congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses and where she eventually would meet her fiancé Nalu. She would be described as sassy and funny but also caring to all those who she meets.
Groom
Born in Washington, Nalu would be described as one of the kindest and sweetest people you will meet. He lives his life quietly pursuing his gaming hobbies along with reaching out in his local congregation as well as taking nature walks and trips with friends
