On a spontaneous whim, Jamie decided she needed a change of scenery and a little thrill. So, she booked a last-minute trip to Costa Rica with one goal in mind: to learn how to surf. What she didn’t expect was to meet someone who would completely change her life. Enter Jonathan — her surf instructor with an easy smile, a love for the ocean, and a heart as warm as the Costa Rican sun. He was there to teach her how to catch her first wave… but Jamie ended up catching more than that. Between surf sessions, sparks flew, and the two quickly became inseparable. After returning home, Jamie found herself constantly thinking about the beach, the waves — and Jonathan. A few trips back and forth later, she decided to follow her heart. In December 2024, she packed up and moved to Costa Rica for three months to be closer to him. One magical day, with the sound of the ocean in the background and the sand between their toes, Jonathan got down on one knee and asked Jamie to marry him. Since then, they’ve been living their dream together — sharing lazy beach days, exploring lush jungle trails, riding bikes, and chasing waterfalls (literally). Every moment has been filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They can’t wait to continue this incredible journey, hand in hand, as husband and wife.

A veces, las mejores aventuras son las que llegan sin esperarlo. Por un impulso espontáneo, Jamie decidió que necesitaba un cambio de paisaje y un poco de emoción. Así que reservó un viaje de último minuto a Costa Rica con un objetivo claro: aprender a surfear. Lo que no se imaginaba era que conocería a alguien que transformaría su vida por completo. Y ahí apareció Jonathan — su instructor de surf, con una sonrisa fácil, un amor profundo por el mar y un corazón tan cálido como el sol costarricense. Él estaba ahí para enseñarle a atrapar su primera ola… pero Jamie terminó atrapando algo mucho más grande. Entre sesiones de surf, surgió la chispa, y muy pronto se volvieron inseparables. Después de regresar a casa, Jamie no podía dejar de pensar en la playa, en las olas — y en Jonathan. Tras varios viajes de ida y vuelta, decidió seguir a su corazón. En diciembre del 2024, hizo sus maletas y se mudó a Costa Rica por tres meses para estar más cerca de él. Un día mágico, con el sonido del mar de fondo y la arena entre los pies, Jonathan se arrodilló y le pidió matrimonio. Desde entonces han estado viviendo su sueño juntos — compartiendo días tranquilos en la playa, explorando senderos en la selva, paseando en bicicleta y persiguiendo cataratas (literalmente). Cada momento ha estado lleno de amor, risas y aventura. Ahora no pueden esperar para seguir esta increíble travesía, de la mano, como esposos.

It was June 9, 2024. Jonathan was working as a surf instructor, and for him, it was just another regular workday. When he saw her for the first time in the lounge, before the briefing, before they even stepped onto the beach together, before knowing she would be his student… he thought she was so beautiful that she’d never notice someone like him. It seemed impossible to even hope for her attention. But as he got to know her a little more, he discovered the kindest, sweetest girl he had ever met. He was immediately captivated by her charisma, by the way she looked at him—with eyes as deep as the ocean itself. That’s when he realized… he was in trouble. Jonathan kept things professional as her surf instructor and didn’t say anything at first. But eventually, it became impossible for him to hide what he was feeling and he managed to gather enough courage to ask Jamie for her phone number. And that’s how their adventure together began—sharing unforgettable, unique, and fun moments. Together, they’ve continued to learn about each other, breaking through cultural, language, and distance barriers. They’ve supported each other through it all and have always been there for one another. From that moment, from that very first message… They haven’t stopped talking since. Era un un 9 de junio del 2024. Jonathan era instructor de surf y para él era un día laboral normal como cualquier otro. Lo que él no sabía era que este día cambiaría para siempre su vida, cuando conociera a la que iba a ser su alumna...Jamie. Cuando la vio por primera vez en la sala, antes de las instrucciones, antes de estar en la playa con ella por primera vez, antes de saber que sería su alumna...la vio tan hermosa que pensó, jamás se fijaría en él, era imposible lograr llamar su atención. Pero al conocerla un poco más, pudo ver la chica más amable y dulce que jamás había visto en su vida. Lo cautivó de inmediato con su carisma y su forma de verlo, con aquella mirada tan profunda como el mismo océano, ahí fue cuando se dio cuenta que estaba en problemas. Jonathan mantuvo su profesionalismo como instructor de surf y no comentaba nada al respecto. Pero luego fue imposible para él ocultar sus sentimientos. Y logró reunir el suficiente valor para pedirle a Jamie su número de teléfono. Y fue así como inició su aventura juntos, juntos atesorando momentos especiales, únicos y divertidos, juntos continúan conociéndose, juntos han roto las barreras de la cultura, los idiomas y la distancia, apoyándose mutuamente y siempre estando el uno para el otro Desde ese momento, desde ese primer mensaje, hasta el día de hoy no han dejado de hablar....
