We met in 2019, and from the very beginning, it felt like we had known each other forever. What started as a simple introduction quickly grew into an unshakable friendship. We became inseparable... always finding reasons to spend time together, going on “friend” dates, sharing countless meals, laughing until our cheeks hurt, and showing up for each other no matter what. Then, life took us in different directions for a little while. Months went by without seeing or speaking to each other, but not a day passed that we didn’t think about one another. We both found ourselves wondering what if - what if we were meant to be more than just friends? One day, as if the universe had decided to answer that question, a simple text message brought us back together: Want to get lunch? From that moment on, we’ve been side by side ever since. The proposal happened on what we thought would be just another fun adventure. Our friends had asked us to be “models” for a photoshoot, and we were promised beautiful scenery. One morning, we arrived at a stunning waterfront bay, with the city skyline glistening in the background and the sunlight dancing on the water. After the shoot, we started walking back to the car, hand in hand — until James led us down a different path. There, in the grass, was a giant heart with the words "Will you marry me", a red carpet lined with rose petals, and the moment that changed our lives. It was perfect. As you may know ... we said yes to forever. And while we never did get those promised pictures, we got something far better - each other.
