Britta and I have known each other for a long time—really, for decades. Our families have crossed paths for many years, but it wasn’t until around 2016 that we began spending more time together in a family setting. Over time we became good friends and enjoyed being around each other. In the spring of 2020, while I was on a family vacation, my dad suggested something I had never really considered before—he asked if I had ever thought about Britta as more than just a friend. At the time I didn’t see it that way at all. In the summer of 2021, Britta and I decided to try a relationship, but it only lasted about two months. After that we went our separate ways, and for a long time I believed that chapter of life was closed. Over the next four years we still spent time together and stayed friends, but my heart was honestly pretty cold toward the idea of us becoming something more. Looking back, it was a long season where things just seemed to stay the same. Then something changed. Around Thanksgiving of 2025, I began to see Britta in a completely different light. The kindness, forgiveness. faith, and character I had always admired in her suddenly felt clearer than ever. What I had overlooked for years became impossible to ignore. The friend I had known for so long had quietly become the woman I wanted to spend my life with. Choosing Britta has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. On August 7, 2026, we’re excited to stand before God, our families, and our friends to begin our life together as husband and wife. We can’t wait to celebrate that day with you!
