How We Met
We first met through our college organization at UC Irvine back in 2017. Fast forward a bit to Spring 2018—Jaimie served as the fundraising coordinator, and by Fall 2018, Ethan had taken over the role. Over the summer, Ethan was completely lost, had no clue what he was doing, and naturally began bombarding Jaimie with questions. A lot of questions. Like... a lot. What Ethan didn’t know was that when the fall quarter started, Jaimie already had a bit of a crush on him. So every frantic message from him? Not exactly a burden. Somewhere between the constant texts and event planning, a real friendship began to bloom. They were spending more time together, and Ethan even joined Jaimie’s birthday celebration with her friends. Over Thanksgiving break, Jaimie messaged her friends to see if anyone wanted to play Overcooked! 2 (a chaotic cooking game). Only Ethan replied, and immediately too—in fact, he had never purchased a game that fast before. That kicked off a series of late-night Discord calls with Ethan patiently enduring Jaimie’s questionable gaming skills (though she had no idea at the time). After finals, they both finally confessed what had been building all along: they liked each other. Ethan asked Jaimie out and they made it official in January 2019.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be outdoors in sunny Aliso Viejo, where August afternoons and evenings are typically warm.

Please arrive at 4 pm as we will be starting the ceremony at 4:30 pm.

How is the parking at the venue?

There is plenty of parking at the venue at Parking Lot E. When you enter the university, through University Drive, let the Security team know that you are attending a wedding at the Athenaeum.

What color is the wedding party wearing?

Our wedding party will be wearing shades of sage green and light blue.

What is the dress code?
Answer
The dress code is semi-formal. We’d love for you to dress nicely but comfortably—think cocktail dresses, dress shirts, slacks, or suits. The ceremony will be on grass.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes, drinks are on us! The open bar will be serving alcoholic drinks from 5-8 PM and non-alcoholic drinks from 5-9 PM.

Answer
Please refrain from using personal devices during the ceremony. We've hired professional photographers and videographers to capture this special moment. Thank you for understanding!
