Our love story began at the legendary Grimaldi’s Pizzaria- a place known for brick ovens, cheesy perfection, and (unbeknownst to them) matchmaking magic. We met for our first date there, and let’s just say… the nerves were real. So real, in fact, that at one point, Jaimie nearly spilled her entire margarita right off the table. Not out of clumsiness but because being around Pete was just that disarming. (Cute, right?) Thankfully, the drink was saved, and so was the date. Conversation flowed and we both quickly realized there was something special happening- even if one of us was silently panicking while pretending to be totally chill. Since then, we’ve shared countless more meals, big adventures, and tiny moments that made life feel happier and brighter. It all started with one pizza, one drink, and a whole lot of butterflies. Now we’re getting married and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you (preferably with no spilled margaritas…maybe).
It started out as a simple, relaxing date night. The plan was a couples massages first, then dinner next door at our favorite spot Grimaldis Pizzeria, where we had our very first date. The plan didn’t raise any red flags. After all, the massage place was right next to Grimaldi’s, so dinner there just made sense. When we walked in, Pete led me to the exact same table where we sat on our first date. But this time, there were flowers arranged on the table and a bottle of wine waiting. I thought, wow, he’s being extra sweet tonight! But I still had no idea what was about to happen. Then Pete looked at me, smiled, and said, “Do you know why we’re here?” Completely clueless, in the most honest and me response possible, I shrugged and said “I don’t know”. That’s when he stood up, came around to my side of the table, and got down on one knee. Everything stopped. My heart raced. Suddenly, I realized exactly why we were there. In the very place where our story began, Pete asked me to marry him. It wasn’t flashy or over-the-top. It was personal, thoughtful, full of meaning, and perfectly us. Through all the nerves, I said yes, without a doubt in my heart. Now every time we walk into Grimaldi’s, it won’t just be where our first date happened. It will be where everything changed, where the first chapter of forever officially began 🤍
The rest of our story is still to be written...
