In the classic style of a millennial love story, Jaëlle and Tobi's journey began on Hinge, the dating app famously marketed as "The app designed to be deleted" (and they can attest to its truth!). Tobi, always up for adventure, decided to visit Jaëlle in Boston during her college winter break. Jaëlle, a sucker for quality time, planned a tour of the city's highlights including, The Boston Commons, Museum of Fine Arts and her home neighborhood, Roxbury. Love sparked instantly as they bonded over their shared appreciation for their respective cultures (Yoruba/Nigerian & Haitian), and a love for food, family, and music. Since that memorable first date, their lives have intertwined beautifully, creating love-filled memories surrounded by cherished friends and family, including their adorable fur babies, Aang and Nella.

Our traditional Yoruba and Haitian customs will be incorporated in various parts of the wedding (food, music, attire, etc). Please be prepared for a day filled with warmth, joy and happiness as we celebrate our union. (Please bring extra cash for the traditional Yoruba wedding money dance!)
