How It Happened

Sometimes…moms are right.

Jillian: I wasn’t looking for anyone. If you know me, you know I didn’t care for dating or using apps or even starting conversations. But, in 2023, my mom told me about her coworker and how she has a “totally cute son” that I just HAD to talk to. And I immediately declined. Are you joking? Getting set up by my mom? NO WAY. So, over the next two years, I got pictures and updates of this guy who is, admittedly, totally cute. And after two years of hearing my mom ask and ask and ask if this guy could have my number, I agreed to share my Discord. I obviously wasn’t giving my number to a stranger, you know? But the first time we spoke on a Discord call, it was 7 hours. Then the second call was 10 hours. No awkward silence. No gaps in the conversation. It was natural. As if it was meant to be. And throughout our dates, watching him get down on one knee to ask if I’d be his wife, standing together in our kitchen cooking dinner while Ray Charles played on a vinyl, sitting close to him and sharing private vows as lions caroled, I thought to myself, “Ugh. My mom was right. She was SO right.”

How it Happened

Checked Every Box

Jadyn: Honestly, right before we met, I was just going through the motions of life. I wasn’t actively looking for anything or anyone. I was content with being alone. However, I didn’t realize how long it had been since I experienced true joy until that first moment I met Jillian. She popped into my life at exactly the right time, and ever since then, I have been living each day fuller than I thought was possible. However, before we get to forever, let me tell you about the beginning. I finally agreed to take her chat information because I got tired of hearing from my mom about this girl I desperately needed to meet. I mean, that’s just weird… Why would I want to date someone my own mother recommends? Well, one day Delisa and my mother got tired of asking and decided to force us to meet each other on a trip to Turpentine Creek. At that point, I figured I might as well get her number so it won’t be as awkward for us when we meet in person for the first time. Well, I got her number, and right away I noticed there was something completely different about her. It was like I couldn’t help but hang on every word. I finally understand what others mean when they say, “When you know, you know,” as it was like she checked every single answer box correctly on an invisible list that even I didn’t know I had. We talked and talked for hours on end every single day, and before we knew it, I was down on one knee and then saying my vows in Eureka Springs. That’s right, we couldn’t help ourselves and had to get married as soon as possible. We eloped at the very spot that we were supposed to first meet at, Turpentine Creek. While that truly might be the happiest day of my life, come and make a new memory with us as we hold our actual wedding ceremony for all our friends and family to attend.

Things To Do

~Here are a few fun things to do in the historic town of Eureka Springs~

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge

239 Turpentine Creek Lane, Eureka Springs, AR 72632

We are regulars at the cat sanctuary. They give amazing tours and all the guides are very knowledgeable of all the animals who are getting taken care of here. The gift shop has all kinds of items to bring home as a souvenir. They also have animals seized from the Tiger King who are now living much better lives!

Downtown Eureka Springs

5-19 Spring Street, Eureka Springs, AR 72632

We've made many trips up and down the historic downtown of Eureka Springs. It's full of shops, places to eat, places to rest, and things to see. Everything from tattoo artists to candy shops to novelty t-shirts to vinyl music shops, it's all here. Bring your walking shoes and an umbrella just in case!

Crescent Hotel Ghost Tours

75 Prospect Avenue, Eureka Springs, AR 72632

The tour is spooky, fun, and full of cool facts about the past of the most haunted place in Arkansas, and maybe even America! Bring a camera with you and maybe you'll catch an orb...or worse :)

When do I reserve my spot?

Answer

Tell us your plans by June please! Thanks!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Everyone will be included in our meal preparations. Nothing is too small. If anyone has a preference or dietary need, please reach out to us ASAP and we'll get accommodations started.
