Jade and Nolan’s love story began in the summer of 2020, right in the middle of COVID-19, a time when the world felt uncertain, but connection felt more important than ever. Their first date didn’t happen as planned. Nolan had chosen his favorite spot, Graze in Minneapolis, for a perfect evening out. As they drove up, they spotted the now-infamous printer paper sign on the door: “Closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.” Nolan quickly pivoted to his second-favorite places, Pryes Brewing Company. They spent hours together with great conversation, laughter, and sipping on the Royal Raspberry Sour, they both knew this was the start of something real and special. From there Jade and Nolan continued to go on dates and enjoyed each others time. In November of 2020 Nolan asked Jade to be his girlfriend! Over the years, they’ve created countless memories together - exploring new restaurants, moving in with each other, buying a house together, taking memorable vacations to Mexico, Hawaii, and Arizona, spending time with friends and families, and simply enjoying each other’s company through life. In February 2025, they went to Mexico for what Jade believed was a birthday celebration for Nolan’s 30th. Little did she know Nolan had been secretly planning the surprise of a lifetime. On the second night of their trip, they went for a sunset walk on the beach before dinner. It was on that walk he got down on one knee and asked Jade to marry him. He’d arranged for a photographer, a private beach dinner to follow, and the most romantic moment imaginable. Jade said yes, and they’ve been savoring every bit of their engaged life ever since—dreaming, laughing, and building toward a happy, healthy future together as husband and wife.
