God destined for our paths to cross back on the eve of Camille's 16th birthday at Shepherd Church's youth summer camp. Neither of us expected to meet our future spouse. Thomas introduced himself first and simply said, "I want to get to know you better". We overcame plenty of hardships on our way to build a relationship. At 18, Thomas fulfilled his dream of becoming an Army Ranger and we lost contact for over a year. One summer day, we spontaneously reconnected. That was the day we both knew that we were in it for the long haul. We've been best friends, partners, and falling more in love ever since. In our story, God has fulfilled what was promised in Matthew 19:6 "So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man separate."
