Our Story
Our love story began on a seemingly ordinary day during high school, on the school bus. I remember the moment so clearly—Jacob, full of confidence and charm, introduced himself in the most unforgettable way. He didn’t waste any time before cracking jokes, and I was immediately drawn to his humor and energy. From that moment, something sparked between us, and our connection started to blossom. We started spending much time with each other, hanging out whenever we could. It was with each laughter, each moment, each sharing that our bond was developing with every passing day. We had even dated a while when in high school to break into the initial phases of this beautiful lifelong relationship. But as young love goes, we just decided to go our ways, choosing our paths separately. Jacob went into the Army for service and self-discovery, while I moved to Utah to create my own life. We never lost contact even though we were physically apart. We would talk frequently and catch up with what was going on in each other's lives, telling stories of the good times. Every time I went to California, we made it a point to see each other. Those reunions were always filled with warmth, laughter, and the undeniable connection we'd shared since high school. As life went on, our paths diverged again. Jacob's military career took him to new places, and I continued to build my life in Utah. But fate has a funny way of bringing people back together when the time is right. After Jacob finished his time in the Army, we reconnected. It was as if no time had passed, and all the pieces of our story began falling into place. The love we'd always had for each other resurfaced, stronger and more certain than ever. Now, here we are, preparing to spend the rest of our lives together. Our journey hasn't been a straight line, but every twist and turn has led us to this beautiful moment. Jacob and I are getting married, ready to start a new chapter in our story. I'm so grateful for the bus ride that started it all and for every step along the way that brought us to where we are today. Our love story is proof that true connections can stand the test of time and distance, and I just can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

Karla, my sister and maid of honor, is truly one of my best friends. When I moved in with her during high school, she was my rock, helping me navigate some of the toughest times of my life. She’s seen every side of me. the good, the bad, and everything in between and she knows me better than I know myself. Karla has been a guiding light, teaching me so much about life and shaping so many of the great experiences I’ve had. I’ll always be grateful for her love, support, and wisdom. Karla’s bravery isn’t always understood by others. Some mistake her strength and straightforwardness for rudeness, but I see it for what it truly is courage and conviction. I admire that about her. While others might not always see eye to eye with her, I respect her ability to stand firm in her beliefs and speak her mind. Her boldness is something I look up to and am proud of. Laura, she's not just family but my best friend. She's the one I can always rely on, no matter what I need, and she's been my confidante through every step of life. We share everything with each other, and her support means the world to me. I truly can't imagine life without her by my side , she's my rock, my cheerleader, and my sister. Laura and I didn’t always see eye to eye, but now we’re inseparable. We talk every single day and make it a point to visit each other’s houses, whether it’s to vent about life or just let the kids run wild while we sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee. Living only two minutes apart makes it so easy to stay connected, and I wouldn’t trade our bond for anything.Laura is full of kindness and thoughtfulness. She’s not only the best sister and best friend, but she’s also an incredible mom to her girls. Her love and care for them shine through in everything she does. Whether I need support or just want to rant about life, Sky is one of the first friends I made on the mountain as an adult, and even though life gets busy and we don’t talk every day, when we do catch up, it’s like no time has passed at all. There’s always so much to share, and it feels like we have endless stories to exchange every time we reconnect. It’s one of the things I love most about our friendship it’s always easy, no matter how much time has gone by.

Madison, my bridesmaid, and I didn’t click right away, but once we got to know each other, it was like, "Why didn’t we have this bond sooner?" We’d stay up all night, talking for hours, and I realized she reminded me so much of myself at a younger age.Madison is such a sweet girl, and I honestly believe that everyone needs to get to know her on a deeper level and have a sister-in- law just like her. She has this incredible personality that shines through once you truly connect with her.It felt so easy to open up to her, no shame, just honesty. Madison is a bit shy at first, but once we’d settle in with a couple of sad movies, the conversation never stopped. Those summer days with her were some of the best times I’ve had with a friend. I’m so grateful to have a sister-in-law like Madison someone I can trust deeply, have meaningful conversations with, and know that I can count on no matter what. Joseph, my brother and my best man, has been my hero since the very beginning of my life. From the time we were kids, he was not just my older brother but also my person, my guide, and my constant source of inspiration. When times were tough, it was Joseph who stepped up, making sacrifices I was too young to understand then but will forever appreciate now. He’s the one who looked out for me, made sure I felt safe, and taught me by example how to face life with strength and resilience. Joseph was the first person I ever looked up to, and even as adults, that hasn’t changed. I’ve always admired his character, his work ethic, and the way he carries himself with kindness and integrity. He’s the kind of man I strive to be, the kind of man of who my children can look up to. Today, as I stand on the cusp of a new chapter in my life, it means everything to me to have my brother by my side. He’s not just my best man; he’s my best friend, my mentor, and the person who has always believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Zack, one of my groomsmen, is a testament to how life can take unexpected turns and create the strongest of bonds. If you’d told me years ago that we’d end up being as close as brothers, I probably would’ve laughed. When we first met, we didn’t even like each other—at all. But somewhere along the way, through shared experiences, a ton of laughs, and maybe a few disagreements, something changed. High school was where our story really took off. We were always doing our fair share of stupid, reckless things that only teenagers would think were a good idea. We have so many stories that would either make you laugh or question our sanity. Those moments shaped not just our friendship but the foundation of trust and camaraderie that we still share today. Now, life has taken us in different directions, and miles separate us. But distance doesn’t change the bond we have. Not a day goes by without us catching up on the phone, sharing stories, venting about life, or just cracking jokes like we’re still those same kids back in high school.

Reggie, one of my groomsmen, is more than a friend to me—he’s my brother. We first met at my first unit at Fort Irwin, back when I was new to the Army and still finding my way. Reggie was one of the first friends I made. From the dry heat of Fort Irwin to the wild adventures of being stationed in South Korea, Reggie and I have shared countless fun and crazy times. We’ve had moments of pure hilarity, moments of chaos, and moments that tested us—but through it all, Reggie was there. He wasn’t just a friend during those times; he was someone I could always count on, no matter what. Our bond goes far beyond the Army. Reggie became my brother, and that connection is something I’ll carry for the rest of my life. I couldn’t imagine this day without him standing here, just like he’s stood with me through some of the most important chapters of my journey.

But he’s not just my best friend—he and his family became my second family when I needed it most. During some of the roughest times in my life, Martin and his family opened their hearts and their home to me, and I’ll never forget the love and support they showed me. Martin and I have been through so much together. We’ve shared laughter, struggles, and countless memories that have shaped who we are today. Whether it was navigating the challenges of growing up or just being there for each other when it mattered most, Martin has always been by my side. Having Martin stand with me on this important day means everything to me. He’s more than a friend—he’s my brother in every way that counts.

Angel, my brother-in-law and one of my groomsmen, is someone who quickly became much more than just family by marriage—he became a true friend. From the beginning, we just clicked. During family events, we’d always find a way to sneak out of the house for a breather, just to escape the chaos for a bit. What started as quick breaks turned into long conversations about everything and nothing all at once. Over time, those quick chats turned into us hanging out more, and before we knew it, we were raving together, sharing unforgettable nights and creating memories that go far beyond family gatherings. Angel has been there for the laughs, the crazy stories, and the times we just needed to decompress.

From day one, Abe wasn’t just a friend—he was like a brother to me, and that bond has only grown stronger over the years.High school was where some of our best memories were made. Me, you, and Zack were the ultimate trio, always finding ways to have fun and make the most out of every moment. Whether we were joking around, playing football, or just hanging out.
