Jake and I met on Tinder. Neither of us was looking for a relationship as we were both just barely dipping our toes into the dating world after a long time. Jake and I were both so nervous on our first date we ended up getting to the restaurant super early and just sitting in the parking lot just a few cars away unbeknownst to each other. I was taken back by Jake's ability to notice the smallest things and just be so unfailingly thoughtful. I have never had someone listen to me like he does or try so hard to make me smile. He has been endlessly patient with me and I never cease to be amazed at his ability to work hard to make life better for those he loves. I didn't really want to fall in love and do the whole marriage and kids thing, I knew it just wasn't for me. Low and behold, I get to do all three in one!! I just had to wait for the right time to learn how amazing those things really can be for me. I am terrified/stoked to be a wife but even MORE terrified/stoked to be a stepmom to 4 awesome kids! Thankfully they have inherited their dad's patience with all of my idiosyncrasies. I am very excited for this family that I have been accepted into. It's gonna be a crazy ride! Just like I like it.
Cactus and Tropicals 7696 S Main st. Midvale, Ut. 84047 Parking is out back on the west side of the building. If your GPS takes you to main street, you need to go on the other side of the building in the big parking lot.
Ceremony will start at 6:30pm and dinner will follow directly after.
At 6:30, Jess will welcome everyone to sit down and Jake and the kids will take their places at the front. Haven is the ring barer and Koden is in charge of holding onto the vows. Benson and Jakara are in charge of standing by Jake and looking good. After everyone is settled, Aubrey will walk down the isle with her dad and then Jess will perform the ceremony. Aubrey and Jacob are doing their own vows and the ceremony will be fairly short. Following the marriage, we can all eat. There will be meat, potatoes, salad, cookies and a soda bar to help yourself to! There will be plenty of opportunities for pictures during this time. After you are all mingled out, go home! We aren't doing a formal goodbye or a cake cutting or anything so eat, chat and do what you want until you're bored and then you are excused.
