Wedding is POSTPONED!
Anel graduated from YearUp in 2007 and Ivette graduated from YearUp in 2009. They both attended an alumni leadership retreat in Boston in 2009. Ivette and Anel were friends since then. Fast forward to 2020: It was beginning of June and it was early on in the Pandemic. Anel and Ivette attended a virtual get together where they reconnected and exchanged numbers. Well the very next day, Anel messaged Ivette on Instagram and they decided to FaceTime. They went on their first date a week later and the rest is history!
From the very beginning of when we started dating, it was SO easy and effortless! AND I also had made a list of the 20 qualities I wanted in a man/partner. When I came across the list later on in our relationship, Anel crossed off EVERY single one of those qualities on my list. HE was exactly who I had been praying for to come into my life.
I've always had a good feeling being around Ivette. I never suspected that it would have materialized beyond our friendship. However, experiencing the pandemic together and learning that we shared many values made everything feel effortless. Having spent so much time together made me realize that I couldn't imagine a future without her in it.
On our first date we went to a Thai restaurant that had take out since dining in was not an option. After eating dinner by the pier, we decided to have a nightcap back in Anel's apartment and towards the end of the night, Ivette went in for the big kiss and caught Anel by surprise. This was the beginning of a million more kisses to come.
All events will take place at Marina Del Rey located at 1 Marina Dr, Bronx, NY 10465
Yes, once you enter Marina Del Rey, you will go around the corner and you can park in the parking lot.
It is located on the Registry tab on the Menu. You will find a Honeymoon Funds section. However, you do not have to use the Zola website if you do not want to as they do charge a fee. Feel free to utilize other methods such as zelle, venmo, cashapp, cash.
I do not recommend to stay at any hotels in the Bronx. Those coming from driving from the North - I recommend staying in New Rochelle which is 20 minutes away. Those coming into JFK/LGA or driving from the south, I recommend staying in a hotel Queens. You can always stay in a hotel in Manhattan however your commute might be longer due to traffic. Feel free to stay wherever you want however these are our recommendations.
