If you are reading this, it is more than likely that you know Irene and are seeking some background about the strange guy she is about to marry; or you are just bored. I can probably only help with one or maybe none of those things, as most of the time I was more concerned about PE class than I was English, so I can’t claim to be much of a writer. If you choose to keep reading, you can now only blame yourself as you have now been warned. I grew up the youngest in our family of four (Mom, Dad, Brother, Me) in West Valley City, Utah. I was a bit of a wild child and preferred to be running around causing trouble outside rather than stuck indoors. That led me to a love of just about any sports or recreational activity that I was exposed to. Those who know me will tell you that I am quiet and not much of one for crowds of people, which is part of why I enjoy escaping the city; especially when that also involves skiing (snow & water). I am lucky that I get to keep my inner child alive most days as I get to run around and swing a hammer and operate large machines and get to call it a job and still get to play around on the weekends. I love spending time with my family and friends and am grateful God has put many amazing people in my life, especially Irene. I look forward to our future together and am extremely grateful for all the incredible support that both she and I have. If you have made it this far you should also know that I hate talking about myself so this is all I can give you. If we get to meet in person and you have further questions about me, don’t be put off by my scary looks. Feel free to talk to me…or don’t. Carry on.
As the 8th of 11 children in the small town of Umatilla, OR - we were often too rambunctious in the house so mom sent us outside to play sports, pull weeds, or wash cars! I went to school at the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, served an 18-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to Cape Verde Africa, then came back and earned a Bachelors degree in Recreation Management from BYU-Idaho. After graduation I moved and worked as a nanny and teachers assistant/recess and crosswalk patrol in Yuma Arizona. Summer 2018 I went on one of my sister's cross country bicycle trips - Route 66. Then moved to Utah in the fall of 2018 accepting an internship in Office Management, which quickly turned into a full time job. Mitch and I were introduced through a church friend in June 2023. We hung out and played church sports together, went on a couple dates, and as I watched how hard working, reliable, kind, and honest he was in all he did - everything just kind of fell into place as it should.
