Our story

Jan 1 2014

Our story begins at Rufus King High School, January, 2013. Jafari and I had class together my last semseter of my senior year. We never talked in class but Jafari wanted to ask me to prom. He sent me a DM on twitter and asked if he could talk to me after class by my locker. I had no idea what he could have wanted to talk about, since we never spoke to each other before. When the time came, Jafari meet me by my locker and asked me to go to prom with him. I said no. I already had a date, ticket and dress. If he would’ve asked me sooner I probably would’ve given him a different answer. We did, however, become friends. We “talked” on and off for about a year then on January 1, 2014 I asked Jafari to be my official boyfriend. He actually told me no, but before the conversation ended we were officially dating. Since then, we’ve been together for it all; on the bus, riding in hoopties, apartments with no heat, stress from work and school, art shows, music preformaces, graduations, promtions, new jobs, new cars, pets and a cross country move! We’ve seen each other at our worst and helped each other to be at our best and we plan on continuing on our love journey 💕
