Of course! Guests don't need to select a meal when submitting their RSVP, because dinner will be served from a buffet. However, if you need any dietary accommodations, we are happy to help!

Do I need a ticket or pass to enter the Arboretum?

Answer

No, you will have free admission to the Arboretum for our wedding. Just tell the gate attendant that you are there for the Hughes-Anderson wedding!

Is there a backup plan for wet or cold weather?

Answer

Yes! Plan A includes an outdoor ceremony, with indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, and indoor dinner. Plans B and C are entirely indoor. We will update the schedule section with the specific event locations if anything changes in the days or hours leading up to the ceremony.

Where should I go once I'm past the entrance gate? Where should I park?

Answer

For plans A and B, all events will be in the Snyder Building, which has a large parking lot in the front. After you gain entry past the Arboretum gatehouse, follow the drive to the right. Turn right at the first stop sign, to park in the main visitor parking lot. As you exit the main visitor parking lot on foot, the Snyder Building is the building to your left (just east of the larger Visitor Center). You will see a flagpole in front of the blue and gray building. There are many parking lots at the Arboretum--all free. If you arrive at the Arboretum early and would like to view any of the gardens, feel free to park closer to that location.

How do I get to the Tea Room & Terrace?

Enter the Snyder Building into the Snyder Lobby. Turn left and head down the hallway past the literature racks. Continue straight past the Snyder Auditorium and past the Conservatory. The Tea Room is the last room at the end of the hall. The Tea Room Terrace is through the Tea Room and outside.

How do I get to the Fireplace Room?

Enter the Snyder Building into the Snyder Lobby. Turn left and head down the hallway past the literature racks. Continue straight past the Snyder Auditorium. On your right will be stairs and an elevator. Go to the second floor. Turn right at the top of the stairs or from the elevator. Head down the hallway to the Fireplace Room.

Is there a dress code?

We suggest cocktail attire, also known as semi-formal. Please wear what makes you comfortable and feel great!

What happens if I need to leave my car at the Arboretum overnight?

Answer

You are welcome to leave your vehicle overnight if you are carpooling or taking a rideshare home. You can get your vehicle the following day at 8am when the Arboretum grounds reopen.
