FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While there’s no strict dress code, here are a few suggestions to help guide you: Mehndi / Mayoun – Yellow Eastern wear is encouraged. Sangeet – Bright colors and jewel tones in Eastern wear. Nikkah & Reception – Women: Traditional, formal Eastern wear Men: Formal Western attire We kindly ask that you avoid wearing white.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love children, space is limited at some events, so we’re only able to include little ones if they are named on your invitation.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

November in Dallas is generally mild and cool. Highs: ~66–68 °F (≈19–20 °C) Lows: ~45–50 °F (≈7–10 °C) Evenings can feel brisk, so pack a light jacket or shawl.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Mehndi / Mayoun – Indoors Sangeet – The dirty pithi outdoors; the rest of the celebration indoors Nikkah & Reception – Nikkah & cocktail hour outdoors; reception indoors

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking will be available at all venues. To make it easier, we recommend carpooling so everyone can park nearby.

Question

What's the best way to get to the venues

Answer

Driving is recommended. While rideshare apps (Uber/Lyft) are available, they can be unreliable late at night. All venues are easy to drive to and have ample parking.

Question

If we’re coming from out of town, where should we stay?

Answer

We’ve reserved a hotel block for our guests (linked above). Rooms are limited, so we recommend booking as soon as possible! If you have any trouble booking, please let us know and we'll try our best to help you out!

Question

Will you be operating on Desi time?

Answer

Nope! All events will begin on time each day. We’d really appreciate it if everyone arrives promptly so we can celebrate together without delays.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence is truly the greatest gift. If you’d still like to honor us, we kindly request no boxed gifts.
