Just about 14 years ago April of 2010, Luke and I met. I do believe it was the first time we had ever actually seen each other, knowingly, considering we grew up one town apart and a year and 2 months between us. A mutual friend of ours had brought him to a party we were having for my father. Soon after that party, I had learned Luke asked for my phone number, obviously it was given to him. We had our first "date" at the movies, typical right? It was way more eventful than I would have imagined. Starting with him picking me up in a bright yellow H3 Hummer, how cool that was. Little did I know it was his mothers. He braved a scary movie for me, I believe it was Insidious, not a fan. It was a while before we had decided to make it official.. and the rest was history. We have been through so much in our 14 years together, I think we can both say that we wouldn't trade it for anything. Throughout this time, we have brought two families together as one, and have even created our own. Collins is 3 1/2 and the light of our lives, also two basset hounds, Luna and Jerry. The best two pain in the butts you could ask for. You may ask, "why get married after so long?". We say, "why not?".
