We’re Getting Married!

Rob and I had become acquaintances through mutual friends a couple years ago but sparks didn’t fly until the timing was right. I was heading to the Toledo RibOff with some of my best friends when Rob asked if I wanted to grab a drink with him that night. I regretfully declined since I had plans already but my friends wouldn’t allow me to leave it at that! With some encouragement from them I asked Rob if he liked country music and if he wanted to come to the concert with me since I had an “extra ticket.” He took me up on my offer and the rest is history! P.S. I did NOT have an extra ticket to the concert and prayed to the ticket Gods that there would be some available at the gate for purchase. P.P.S. Rob had no clue who the country artist was (Lee Brice) and wasn’t a true fan of country music... but it’s growing on him now.

Our first one-on-one date was to Ann Arbor, MI over Labor Day weekend 2018. This is when/where we consider our relationship to be “official” and to commemorate that date Rob planned an overnight trip to Ann Arbor for our one year anniversary this past Labor Day weekend 2019. To throw me off, we started the evening tailgating at the “Ann Arbor” game with the Michigan Basketball team at Crisler Arena and if you know anything about us, we ❤️ The Buckeyes! However, the evening ended with dinner and drinks at the restaurant we visited on our first date followed by a stroll through a local graffiti alley we had admired the year prior. That is where he got down on one knee and proposed! You know the answer 💍
