On the day Jacob and I get married, we will be together for 9 years and 3 months. In those 9 years we have become so many different versions of ourselves individually, and as partners. We have felt so young and so free, and so much older and wiser. We’ve learned all we know about life together, from serious things to the silly things we know now like how I’ve felt the pain of becoming a Browns fan, Jacob has learned the joy of Justin Bieber’s Christmas album, and raising our two fur babies Pearl and Coral together. These 9 years have been filled with so much laughter, love, and learning. I don’t think marriage was on either of our minds when we met at the age of 18, but finding a best friend and partner we loved was on the list. We are so lucky that from being silly college students, to slightly more serious adults, our relationship has grown and we’ve fallen deeper in love with each other as we grow individually. It’s easy to joke “It’s about dang time you guys are getting married,” but we truly feel like this is the perfect time for us. We are so grateful to be able to celebrate our wedding with people who mean so much to us. It has been 9 years of anticipation for not only this one day, but to officially be husband and wife.
