Jennie and Jay met the modern way- Online! The surprising part is that they lived just down the road from each other. It was July of 2019 when Jay initiated the first hello while Jennie tried to find any reason not to like him. After a few weeks of phone calls, texts, and many laughs, Jay suggested dinner and Jennie picked the spot. The first date was dinner with mexican food, which is still a favorite! Jay knew Jennie was different from most people he had known so it didn't take him long to ask Jennie if she'd consider being exclusive and a relationship was born. After a year together, they moved in with each other. Both knew this was a risk but also didn't want to live without the other. Then, on Valentine's day in 2024, Jay proposed. He tried to recreate one of their early dates, but Jennie had other plans. It was a chilly night and she was cold and tired and dinner had been a little disappointing. Not knowing that Jay wanted to propose, Jennie asked to just go home. Jay took her home and proposed outside their home instead in the exact spot where they'd shared their first kiss five years earlier. Ask Jay about that moment from five years ago and you might just hear a funny story! Jennie and Jay are excited about the future and all life will hold for them. Thank you for being present as they make their life together official and proclaim to the world that they are one, holding each other above all others knowing nothing else matters more than their commitment to each other.

Semi-Formal Attire
Our wedding is a semi-formal event. We are looking forward to seeing our friends and family dressed up and ready to celebrate. Ladies~Think pretty dresses and pant suits but please do not wear all white or all black. No need to be red carpet ready but give us a little something extra. Gents~ Suits are not required but jeans are not the vibe either. Meet us in the middle. Dinner, drinks, and dancing are on us!
There are no hotels in Lago Vista. VRBO and AirB&B are your best options if you'd like to stay the night in Lago Vista. Cedar Park and Leander are the next closest locations with hotels.
The venue doors will be open to guests at 5:30 p.m. with the ceremony scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Some of our friends and family are comfortable being late to gatherings. If that's you, please know that latecomers will not be allowed in until the ceremony is completed. We'd much rather have you there with us, so please be mindful of your time.
Our wedding is a semi-formal event. We get to see everyone in their normal attire all the time, so this is an opportunity to see you dressed up. Please, no jeans, cargo shorts or pants, t-shirts, sporty clothes, or other casual attire. Ladies, please do not wear all white or all black.
We are NOT accepting cards or gifts, so please do not bring them. Your presence at our wedding is gift enough.
We are not having any themed activities for children and do not plan to censor music or other activities for a younger audience. We understand that you may need to bring your children with you. If that's the case and only received an invite for you and one other, please reach out to either the Bride or Groom and let us know so we can adjust your RSVP count to include your children. If we do not know you need to or plan to bring your children, then there will not be seating or service for them, so please just reach out!
We are serving a BBQ buffet. If you require a vegetarian option, please indicate that when you RSVP.
We are hosting an open bar. The bar will have beer, wine, and liquor. However, we have not won the lottery and are working within a limited budget so there will be limited brand options of each. We ask that you drink responsibly. There will be an independent bartender serving drinks. If you are cut-off by the bartender, we are not able to change that. The venue prohibits shots and requires liquor drinks to contain some type of mixer. You cannot bring your own alcohol and if this rule is broken, we will have to forfeit our deposit.
Lago Vista is a small town northwest of Austin on the north side of Lake Travis. Austin is known for having heavy traffic through the city, so please plan enough time to make it to the ceremony on time. Latecomers may have to wait outside until the ceremony is complete and we'd rather have you there with us!
We love music! If there is a special song you have and want to hear it played, please list the song when you RSVP. We cannot guarantee it will make it into the rotation but we will suggest it to the DJ.
Please do not ask to see the Bride prior to the ceremony. As much as she loves you, she cannot take a few minutes with everyone before but cannot wait to spend time with everyone after the marriage is sealed. You will probably see the Groom out and about and are welcome to shake his hand and wish us well.
Our RSVP deadline was February 14, 2025. We are not able to accept late RSVPs because venues and vendors require final headcounts. If you didn't RSVP, and show up anyway, please bring your own chair and snack. We also understand life happens. If you have RSVP'd and something urgent happens in life, please let us know you will not be attending after all. This will allow us to pivot versus simply not showing up.
