We met as many do these days. Online! However, there was a fun twist that made Heather want to meet Ben more. You see the original plan was to meet for the first time on the 19th of February. Heather had forgotten that she made plans with her god daughter Mara(flower girl). Mara was of course distraught about not being able to have a girls night, as promised. So Heather proceeded to request the next day. After explaining she had promised her niece a “girls night” with Auntie on the 19th. Ben kindly obliged. Saying “of course! Family first!”. From there the rest become history.

Friends were in town from Colorado and we had gone site seeing in Tombstone. The next day we all had decided to go up Mt. Lemon. As it is cooler on the mountain and it was July in Arizona. If you know, you know. Heather got ready for a great day with friends hiking and exploring. While Ben did not dress for such a day(should have been Heathers first clue something was up). David and Ale had already coordinated with us to meet at Windy point. Right before we left Ben said “why don’t you ask your Mom and Dad to join us? It’s a nice day. They might like to go too!”. So Heather called and invited her Mom and Dad. She was surprised that her Mom said “oh yeah! That sounds like a great idea” and had nothing to do that afternoon(third indication something was up). Heather told her parents who meet them at Windy point and they were getting ready to leave at that moment. They proceeded to drive up to the meet point with no indication of anything special happening. They got too windy point and we met with David and Ale and little baby Finn. With her parents not that far behind. Heather proceeded to show David and Al around Wendy point and explore a little bit. When Ben asked where did we take that photo the first time we came up here together? Heather proceeded to show him where it was. Once in position as Heather was looking around, to her surprise bun got on one knee. Her mother, father, David, and Ale. We’re all in on it together! Heather truly had no idea that was going to happen on that day! Below is the post from Instagram from Heather on that day. We had a beautiful day up on Mt.Lemon. With Mom and Dad, Ale and David. Little did I know there was an ulterior motive behind us going up the mountain. See this is where Ben and I had one of our first dates with the dogs. We took a picture on this same rock.
